Cindy Cohn

Cindy Cohn is the Legal Director and General Counsel for the Electronic Frontier Foundation. She is currently working on behalf of the Ilaje people in the Chevron vs. Bowoto case.

In 2006, National Law Journal named Cohn one of the 100 most influential lawyers in America; in 1997, Cohn was deemed one of the “Lawyers of the Year” by California Lawyer magazine. She has been featured in the New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and numerous other publications, and she has testified before Congress.

Cohn received a law degree from the University of Michigan and an undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and the London School of Economics.

Steve Donziger

Steve Donziger is a leading attorney and national expert on crime policy and youth violence. He worked as a journalist for United Press International and freelanced for four years, filing more than 150 stories from Central America. He was on the legal team representing the Ecuadorian plaintiffs against Texaco in the 1990s and now serves as legal advisor to the Ecuadorian legal team.

Donziger currently practices criminal defense law and international environmental law in New York City. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Emeka Duruigbo

Emeka Duruigbo is Assistant Professor at Texas Southern University, where he has worked since August 2006. He is also a lawyer who specializes in international environmental laws.

Duruigbo has researched and published extensively on Energy and Environmental Law and Transnational Oil and Gas Transactions, as well as International Economic Cooperation. Duruigbo has been a SPILS & Lieberman Fellow at Stanford Law School. He studied law at Golden Gate University in San Francisco and was also educated in Nigeria and Canada.
